Residents rethink safety of electric vehicles following Tuesday's Pelham Manor crash

Two days after the crash in Pelham Manor that killed two, police have still not confirmed what caused it or the identities of those involved.

News 12 was told that a relative of one victim and a coworker of the other victim both visited the site. Another person stopped by to set up a wreath.
People who spoke with News 12 are questioning the safety of these electric vehicles following the crash.
"I mean I would imagine with so much battery; you know? It's probably easy to catch fire," said Pelham Manor resident Julio Campo.
Back in September, News 12 reported on another Tesla crash, where two women died following the vehicle jumping a curb and hitting a building in White Plains.
The vehicle the women were in also exploded.
The names of the two victims in this latest crash, one of whom News 12 told worked as a nurse, have not been released.
