Retailers are reporting lines out of their front doors as Labor Day shoppers swarm over the substantial price cuts that were made before the back-to-school holiday.
Consumers traded in their work clothes for shopping bags and found that, in some cases, the discounts are even better than they had expected.
"I came here to buy a Netbook and was impressed," said Pam Speidell, of Eastchester. "Twenty dollars less than expected!"
Shoppers had to wait half an hour in line just to get inside of the Yonkers Best Buy store, but many said it was worth the wait.
