10h agoStamford Mayor Caroline Simmons announced that Rex Morris will officially serve as the city's newest fire chief.
He has been serving as interim fire chief since October.
Mayor Simmons says in part, "With a career in the fire service that spans over 50 years, I am confident that Chief Morris has the qualifications, expertise, and professionalism to lead the Stamford Fire Department."
