Students at Ridge Street Elementary School will be returning to classes on Tuesday.
The Blind Brook School District made the announcement on Friday.
The district submitted paperwork for a temporary certificate of occupancy after passing a state inspection Thursday.
District officials say the school will be able to reopen 24 classrooms, which will allow for in-person learning for every student.
The school will be going fully remote on Monday while faculty prepare classrooms to welcome children back.
The school was closed by the state of New York more than two weeks ago because of a lack of permits and fire safety concerns due to ongoing construction. Since then, students have been forced to learn remotely.
Blind Brook Schools Superintendent Patrick Brimstein is now on paid administrative leave.
The district’s Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Colin Byrne is taking his place for now.
