A creative mix of art, karaoke and cocktails is drawing crowds to Black Parakeetz, a paint, sip and karaoke lounge in Nyack.

Owners say the space is one of the only art‑bar venues in Rockland County.

“The only thing you bring here is a great attitude,” said owner Terry Clark. The lounge includes three areas: a paint‑and‑sip studio, a karaoke room and a full mixology bar.

Guests take part in guided art sessions before moving into a karaoke lounge stocked with more than 20,000 songs. “We wanted a place that you can go to and just have a lot of fun in a safe environment,” Clark said.

The mixology bar features handcrafted cocktails, including old fashioneds, martinis and margaritas. Co‑owner Naomi Clark said, “We specialize in very handcrafted cocktails that we put a lot of energy into.”

The owners say the goal is to appeal to all ages and create a fun spot for groups, gatherings and celebrations.
