A nearly yearlong undercover drug operation by the Rockland County Narcotics Task Force has resulted in the arrest of nearly 40 people and the seizure of drugs and firearms Wednesday.
Capt. Joseph Tripodo, director of the Rockland County Narcotics Task Force, says 36 suspects, ranging in age from 22 to 53 years old, were taken into custody in Haverstraw and are now facing drug charges.
Authorities say the 11-month operation also netted 10 pounds of cocaine, along with crack and marijuana. Officials also seized guns, machine guns, bulletproof vests and $100,000 in cash.
