The Rockland County Health Department issued an air quality advisory today due to dangerously high ozone levels.
Officials told residents to take caution while outdoors and to know the warning signs of too much ozone exposure, which experts say include chest pain, difficulty breathing and irritation to the eyes, nose and throat.
County health officials say children, the elderly and people with breathing problems are most at risk, but that combined with today's high temperatures, anyone can be affected.
