Rockland County Executive Ed Day is using the Metro-North Penn Station recent groundbreaking to urge for better service for his county.
Day says he doesn't begrudge any community receiving new and improved service as it will provide a second easy, fast, accessible option into the city for people from Connecticut, Westchester and the Bronx.
However, Rockland County still does not have a way to get in without transfers - plus no accessible stations.
Day says he wants to see investment from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority on two projects that would bring better service to Rockland County.
