A Rockland County officer celebrated decades of service as he retired on Thursday.
Chief Criminal Investigator Pete Walker did a final walkout.
Walker served in the U.S. Navy for 25 years before he brought his talents to the NYPD patrolling the Bronx and to the Clarkstown Police Department.
Walker was promoted to detective in 2018. He then moved on to become chief of detectives for the Rockland County District Attorney's office in 2020.
His colleagues bid him a final farewell at the County Courthouse in New City.
After all his hard work, he gives his wife, Eileen, all the credit.
"She is my steadfast. She's the one that I count on every single day. She has my back through everything and the only reason for my success is her," Walker said.
