A Queens man who News 12 has confirmed is a United States Postal worker has been indicted for allegedly sending sexually explicit messages to someone he thought was a minor.

The Rockland County District Attorney says Dominic Vitale, 44, sent numerous messages and pictures to an undercover officer posing as a 14-year-old girl.

Vitale is pictured in his mug shot wearing his USPS uniform shirt. A representative for the United States Postal Service confirms he is employed with USPS but could not comment further on administrative actions or ongoing investigations when asked if Vitale remains on active duty.

His bail was set at $10,000 cash.
