A bookkeeper has been ordered to pay the nearly $80,000 she stole from her employer.

Margaret Guina, of Nanuet, was sentenced this week in Rockland County Court, according to the district attorney's office.

The 49-year-old was also sentenced to five years' probation.

The district attorney's office says she has already paid back $10,000.

Guina stole the money from Rockland Tree Experts/Wickes Arborists from 2016 to 2020.

She pleaded guilty to grand larceny last August.
