Days after appointing a familiar face to a position in the Poughkeepsie school district, the school board has taken it back.
Roger Ramjug was appointed last week as executive director of Strategic Planning and Resource Management at a salary of $125,000.
He started in his new role Monday after announcing his resignation from the Newburgh Enlarged City School District.
Poughkeepsie schools then learned that Ramjug was being investigated by the Newburgh Board of Education.
This led the board to make the decision to rescind the offer. The details of the Newburgh BOE investigation have not yet been released.
