Driver's arm severely injured in Mount Hope rollover crash

The one-car accident occurred on Shoddy Hollow Road in the town of Mount Hope on Sunday evening, outside of Middletown.

One person was badly injured in a one-car crash on Sunday evening the Town of Mount Hope, just outside Middletown in Orange County.
Upon reaching the scene on Shoddy Hollow Road, troopers found a grey 2005 Acura sedan overturned.
The sole occupant, Wade A. Weyant, 57, from Middletown, was trapped in the vehicle, resulting in a serious injury to his left arm.
The Howells Fire Department responded to the scene and successfully extracted Weyant from the vehicle. Members of the Mobile Life Support team provided immediate treatment to his injured arm before transporting him to Garnet Hospital for further medical attention.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, with authorities considering possible charges in connection with the incident.
