Scarsdale school superintendent: Investigation into girls basketball game does not corroborate racism charges
Scarsdale Schools superintendent says an investigation could not corroborate that the East Ramapo girls basketball team was subjected to racially charged comments from a spectator or spectators.
Earlier this week, the East Ramapo coach reported the comments came during the final moments of a game against Scarsdale High School in Scarsdale last Saturday.
The East Ramapo team is made up of girls from Spring Valley and Ramapo High Schools.
The Scarsdale investigation was led by the district’s athletic director.
East Ramapo’s investigation is still underway.
Both districts have been in contact since the incident was first reported.
