A second New York City fireman died Monday from injuries sustained in a three-alarm fire in the Bronx.Fire officials say 43-year-old Lt. Howard Carpluk, of Long Island, was one of five firefighters who were seriously injured when the floor of a Bronx 99-cent store gave way beneath them. The men landed in the basement of the store and were buried under burning debris. They were pulled from the blaze, but Carpluk died a day later. Carpluk was a 20-year FDNY veteran. He is survived by a wife and two children.Rookie FDNY firefighter Michael Reilly, 25, died Sunday from injuries suffered in the same fire. He had only four months on the job. Three other seriously injured firemen are at Jacobi Medical Center and are in stable condition.
