A Sullivan County senior citizen is now accused of murdering his elderly girlfriend. 

Authorities say Thomas Montanya, 84, used a shot gun to kill his live-in girlfriend, 74-year-old Helen Dutcher, at their home earlier this month in Forestburgh. 

They say her body was found after Montanya crashed his car in Montgomery and was hospitalized. 

Montanya is now charged with 2nd degree murder and is being held without bail.
