Several events are canceled because of it.
Kent's Recreation and Parks Department has cancelled Kent Community Day to keep staff, volunteers, vendors and visitors safe.
Recreation and Parks staff say they hope to see visitors next year.
A Haunted History Lantern Tour in Sullivan County is also canceled.
The event was supposed to be almost entirely outdoors so it wouldn't be as much fun in the rain.
