A busy roadway has reopened in time for the morning commute following a water main break Thursday.
Officials say a 16-inch main busted on Sickletown Road in Blauvelt at around 1:15 p.m. The break caused part of the concrete to cave in.
United Water customers in West Nyack, Pearl River and Blauvelt had either no water or murky water. The break also caused major traffic tie-ups on the roadway, which was closed through Thursday night.
Officials have since restored water service but issued a boil water advisory.
