Sleepy Hollow celebrates 150th anniversary with new music festival
The village of Sleepy Hollow is marking its 150th anniversary this year with a host of events, including a brand-new music festival in the Hudson Valley.
The Sleepy Hollow Music Festival is set for June 8 at Kingsland Point Park and will feature two stages and a dozen acts. Performersinclude both local and internationally known artists such as headliners Cold War Kids, Danielle Ponder, Nightingale All-Stars, The Verve Pipe, Clare Maloney & The Great Adventure, Anthony Giaccio & The Assortments, and The Barn Vultures.
About a dozen different food trucks will offer everything from lobster to ice cream. Local Beekman Ale House has even crafted a special Mexican lager for the party.
The event is family-friendly with a big kids zone with plenty of activities. Those who want to try paddleboarding on the Hudson will have the chance, and there will also be six different tents for glamping and an interactive mobile art experience called "Disco Kitty."
Organizers are expecting 2,000 people to attend the festival. Tickets are still available.
