Beth Modica, the so-called ?Party Mom? and estranged wife of the Spring Valley police chief, was sentenced Wednesday to two years in prison and 10 years probation for having sex with teen boys.
Modica appeared in a New City courtroom in handcuffs. The mother of four mouthed the words "I love you" to her daughter. The teenage girl read a statement saying her mother betrayed her by having sex with her 15-year-old boyfriend, causing Modica to break down in tears.
The mother of one of Modica's victims told the court that Modica is a "sly, manipulative sexual predator."
Modica pleaded guilty to rape and criminal sexual acts in April for having sex with the 15-year-old and a 16-year-old boy. The former attorney for the village of Sloatsburg hosted parties for her teenage son and his friends. An investigation began after rumors started swirling that Modica served up alcohol, marijuana and sex at her house.
Modica's husband, Paul Modica, has custody of the couple's children.
