Most stores at the Galleria at Crystal Run in Middletown reopened Monday afternoon after a fire inside a stock room at Dick's Sporting Goods caused smoky conditions throughout the mall.

Town of Wallkill police and the local fire department quickly responded to put out the fire.

Stores were temporarily evacuated as a precaution to ensure the safety of shoppers and employees.

The majority of the mall reopened just after 3:30 p.m.

Only Dick's Sporting Goods and Target remain closed. It is unclear when those two stores will reopen.

No injuries were reported, according to officials.
