The Valentine?s Day storm is still causing problems, this time a West Haverstraw day care center was evacuated after the roof began to leak and sag Wednesday.
A building inspector shut down the Cricket Town Child Care Center, a karate studio and the post office on Route 9W after roofs at the location started to leak and sag. The inspector says it appears the water couldn?t run off from the roofs and started leaking inside the buildings.
The day care building owner says the roof should be fixed by Friday. In the meantime, children who attend the center will be cared for at the company?s other West Haverstraw location.
