Bronx and city transit workers have one more day to vote on the latest Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) contract offer. However, some say they are being pressured by union leaders to approve it.

Some workers say they received telemarketing phone calls, mailings and even threats to ratify the contract offer. The contract offer ended December?s three-day strike among transit workers. If the offer is not approved, union leaders would have to return to the bargaining table with MTA leaders to come up with a new deal.

The proposed contract would give workers a 3.5 percent raise each year for three years, a better health plan and some pension refunds. Some workers say they don?t like the new deal because they do not want to start paying for healthcare.

The deadline to vote on the contract is January 20.
