A Sleepy Hollow police lieutenant is under investigation after he was allegedly caught driving drunk and having sexual intercourse in an unmarked police car.

Sources say the off-duty lieutenant was caught by an on-duty department officer having sexual intercourse with a female officer inside an unmarked cruiser in April.

They allege the lieutenant attended two promotional parties earlier that evening, where he also allegedly consumed alcohol.

Sleepy Hollow Police Chief Anthony Bueti confirms that the village has hired an outside investigator to look into the lieutenant's "interactions with other officers."

The lieutenant remains on duty until the investigation is complete.

News 12 reached out to Sleepy Hollow Village officials, but they had no comment.
