Southeast man arrested on drug, weapons charges after threatening messages

A search warrant of Willis' home yielded a loaded rifle, controlled substances, and drug paraphernalia.

Kevin Willis, 56, of Southeast, was arrested Friday on drug and weapons charges following an investigation by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
Willis allegedly sent threatening messages to another person. Police discovered he was prohibited from owning firearms due to a prior felony conviction.
A search warrant of Willis' home yielded a loaded rifle, controlled substances, and drug paraphernalia.
Willis was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon, criminally using drug paraphernalia, and aggravated harassment.
He was arraigned in Southeast Town Court and released. Willis also surrendered on an outstanding warrant from the Danbury Police Department in Connecticut.
A restraining order was issued against Willis for the victim's protection.
