A man was arrested on weapons charges outside a Southeast supermarket on June 2.
Deputies found Cory Mugridge hiding behind a vehicle while arresting a woman for shoplifting, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
The woman, 41-year-old Mary Pincus Robles of Mahopac, had returned to the store after a previous shoplifting incident.
Mugridge admitted to being Robles' boyfriend and had driven her to the store. Deputies found a 9mm pistol and ammunition in the vehicle.
He resisted arrest but was taken into custody after a brief struggle, the sheriff's office said.
