Southwest is making an effort to ease travelers minds about losing their luggage.

Customers can now track their bags through the carrier.

Southwest says people can view the status of their checked bags on Southwest.com and their mobile app.

The airline says it confirms when tags are printed and then when the bags are loaded and unloaded from the aircraft.
