Two Spring Valley employees were charged for their alleged roles in the fatal Evergreen fire in Spring Valley.
State and local investigators were inside Village Hall last week to serve a search warrant for documents related to that incident.
Village building inspectors Wayne Ballard and Raymond Canario have both been charged and released.
They are expected back in Village Court in July.
News 12 caught Spring Valley Mayor Alan Simon walking into Village Hall on Tuesday.
"Ultimately, justice would be found and essentially, I have no comment," he said.
Firefighter Jared Lloyd's father was too emotional to speak, but Lloyd's godfather did say he's hoping the investigation will bring the Lloyd family some closure.
