Maria Dorleus, 36, admitted to leaving her three young children home alone, leading to her 1-year-old son's death in June.
Police say the child died after becoming trapped between his bed and a wall.
Dorleus will be sentenced on one count of criminally negligent homicide in December. She faces up to four years behind bars.
