The Spring Valley community held a candlelight vigil Saturday night for the 17-year-old Ramapo high school student who was fatally shot Friday.
Family and friends gathered in memory of Treynahel Tyvon Cineus, who they affectionately knew as Trey.
People who gathered at the event placed candles and balloons in remembrance of Cineus.
Police say Cineus was shot and killed around 2:30 a.m. Friday after leaving a party.
