A Spring Valley woman says she has suffered emotional and physical injury after her beloved family dog was mauled to death by a pit bull.
Karen Bongard says she was walking her dog, named "Whisper," on Bethune Boulevard when an unleashed pit bill appeared out of nowhere, bit her arm and then attacked her dog.
Spring Valley police did not return News 12's calls for comment, so it's unclear if any charges will be filed in the case.
