The St. Augustine Church, known as the "Cathedral of the Bronx," has closed its doors.
After over a hundred years, the Archdiocese says the structure of the building posed a danger to the congregants. The St. Augustine Parochial School, located across the street on Franklin Avenue, is now the temporary church.
It is still uncertain what will happen to St. Augustine, but for now congregants say they are trying to get used to their new home.
