A member of state Sen. James Skoufis' staff has resigned after being charged with DWI.
State police arrested the longtime staffer on Monday.
Skoufis issued a statement Friday that reads, "I've worked closely with this staffer and have deep respect for them as a colleague and friend. However, following Monday's incident, I accepted their resignation effective immediately."
Skoufis went on to ask for privacy on behalf of both current and former staff members.
