The Stamford police department announced the arrest of 19-year-old Kelvin Mitchell on Wednesday night in connection with a homicide that took place in Yonkers last summer.
The incident in question occurred in August at Doyle Park in Yonkers, where Daquan Glen was killed and another man was injured.
Earlier this week, the Yonkers Police Department reached out to Stamford police, indicating that Mitchell was believed to be residing with a family member in Stamford. Following this tip, Stamford police executed a search warrant, leading to Mitchell's arrest.
Mitchell faces charges from Yonkers, including murder, attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. He was issued a $1 million bond and has a court date set in Stamford for Feb. 19.
Additionally, Stamford police reported that a 14-year-old Stratford resident was indicted last week and faces similar charges related to this homicide case.
