State police on Tuesday said they identified the body of a man whose car ended up in an Orange County lake after it was recovered.

Kumar Budhu, 47, was identified as the driver of the 2003 Toyota that drove into Glenmere Lake in the village of Florida.

Budhu’s body was recovered outside of the vehicle.

Police had responded to the lake on Monday afternoon for a report of a vehicle in the water.
