A former Ulster County finance chief has been sentenced to two years in jail for stealing nearly $100,000 from a local not-for-profit.
Burt Gulnick pleaded guilty in October to stealing from the Hurley Recreation Center, where he served as treasurer.
State police also discovered that Gulnick embezzled thousands of dollars from former Ulster County executive Michael Hein's election campaign account.
Gulnick used the stolen money for his personal use, according to the Ulster County District Attorney.
