A senior student from Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains is in critical condition after being involved in a serious accident Wednesday morning.

"Alexis Pabellon, of senior year, is in critical condition in hospital as a result of a serious car accident earlier today. I informed your sons and ask that you keep Alexis and his family in your prayers. I also told the seniors that we are here for any student who needs someone to talk to," said Paul Carty, the school's principal in an email to parents.

Westchester County police responded to the accident around 8:30 a.m.

The only vehicle involved was a motorcycle, according to police.

Officials say the rider was an 18-year-old from the Bronx. They say he was exiting from the Bronx River Parkway onto the Cross County Parkway in Yonkers when the crash happened.

Carty told News 12 the student is in critical but stable condition.

Parents say they are heartbroken and thinking of the student and his family.
