A 35-year-old woman and a 38-year-old male were found fatally shot inside a home inside a home in Tomkins Cove, the Stony Point Police Department said Tuesday evening.

They say each victim had a single gunshot wound. The weapon was located at the scene and secured by detectives.

“It appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the general public,” police said in a release.

Rockland County Sheriff’s Department’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Rockland County Medical Examiner’s Office assisted Stony Point detectives at the scene.
