Wet and windy weather is wreaking havoc on travelers throughout Westchester and Hudson Valley Friday.
A winter storm coming from the Midwest is causing heavy rains and 50 mph wind gusts. Travelers at the Westchester County Airport are spending time just waiting around because of numerous cancellations and delays on Midwest-bound flights.
Those driving did not fare any better. The rain and winds made a mess of the commute home. Due to windy conditions, the speed limit on the Tappan Zee Bridge was reduced to 45 mph. Con Edison officials say they will have extra crews in Westchester throughout the weekend in case there is storm damage.
