Dress for summer again today! Sun will be limited with a mostly cloudy sky at times, but a few breaks of sun and blue sky will appear from time to time.
We have been closely monitoring local air quality with the wildfire in Ocean County, NJ still burning. Yesterday, air quality levels ultimately stayed around moderate levels and we expect the same today which is acceptable air quality for most people. If we had a clear sky today, you would notice some haziness from some smoke higher up in the atmosphere, but more clouds will be around today. There are currently no alerts for air quality across the lower Hudson Valley.
Rain develops after midnight tonight and there will be periods of moderate to heavy rain through the morning hours tomorrow. This will impact outdoor plans during the morning and slow down travel slightly. Breaks of sun develop for the afternoon, but a spotty shower or thunderstorm will still be possible anywhere during the afternoon and early evening. Rain totals will be up to around one inch through tomorrow. Temperatures will top out around 74 degrees.
Sunday will be much cooler, but nicer and dry.
