STORM WATCH: Saturday brings storms before a cooler Sunday in the Hudson Valley

On and off downpours have been passing through early this morning and will continue for much of the day. A cold front moves through tonight which brings dry weather for the end of the weekend, but it will be chilly and breezy.
TODAY: Grab the umbrella
Saturday starts off with fog and on & off downpours through midday. Temperatures are in the 50s early this morning and will rise to near 70 this afternoon. Winds will increase up to 30 mph from the SSW. Peeks of sunshine will return in the afternoon, but a passing thunderstorm may develop with the daytime heating. Rain will end around dinnertime & temperatures will drop into the 50s by midnight. Overnight lows will drop into the 40s in cooler neighborhoods.
SUNDAY: Bring a jacket
It's a cool feel to the day tomorrow. We have a mix of sun and clouds, but a stiff breeze from the west at 20-30 mph will bring cool air to our area. Morning temperatures start off near 50 and slowly climb to near 60 in the afternoon. The strongest wind will arrive in the afternoon. Gusts could reach 35 mph.
MONDAY: Sunny and pleasant!
The wind will be light and skies are clear from morning through the afternoon on Monday. It's going to be a fantastic day with morning temperatures near 50 and highs in the 70s. LOOKING AHEAD
Tuesday & Wednesday will be a bit breezier, but mild with a few clouds. Morning temperatures on Tuesday are in the 50s with highs near 70. Wednesday morning is very mild and high temperatures will again be in the 70s in the afternoon. Thursday will be cooler with more clouds and a chance for showers in the evening. The best chance for rain during the work week will be Friday. Bring the umbrella for scattered showers and storms.
