News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Sam Augeri says temperatures will drop significantly over the next few days before another chance of light snow ahead of the weekend.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
-Watch for black ice with temperatures falling through the 20s into the teens by early Wednesday. Wind chills will be in the single digits to low teens through Wednesday.
-Another round of snow arrives Friday, right now it looks like more of a nuisance with light accumulations.
-Cold but dry weather settles in for the weekend
OVERNIGHT: Wintry mix ends this evening with clearing skies. Breezy and cold with lows near 19 degrees. Feels like temperatures near 10 degrees. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Sunrise: 7:14
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny, breezy, and cold with highs near 28 degrees and wind chills in the teens. West wind 10 to 20 mph. Sunset: 4:57
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear and cold. Lows near 18 degrees with west winds 10 to 15 mph.
THURSDAY: Partly sunny with increasing clouds. Highs near 32 degrees. Cloudy and cold at night with lows in the 20s. Chance for flurries or a few light snow showers.
FRIDAY: Cloudy with a good chance for light snow. Accumulations possible. Highs near 32. Mostly cloudy at night with snow showers ending by Saturday morning. Lows near 25.
SATURDAY:  Blustery and cold with sun and clouds. Highs in the mid-20s with lows in the teens.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny and cold with highs near 30. Lows near 20.
