News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Addison Green is tracking heavy rain and gusty winds for the Hudson Valley for the second half of the weekend.

WHAT'S NOW: A flood watch was issued Friday afternoon for Sunday/Monday’s storm for 2 to 3 inches of rain and concerns for localized flooding, especially in low-lying areas.

WHAT'S NEW: Expect warmer air to slowly move in now and through the weekend. With the warmth will come along an increase in moisture in the air so patchy fog will be possible for both Friday and Saturday nights. High temperatures will be above average Saturday and Sunday’s high could challenge the record of 61 degrees.

WHAT'S NEXT: A storm system will approach by Sunday midday, bringing rain and wind to the area. Batches of moderate to heavy rain will move in Sunday evening with gusts ranging 20 to 40mph and chances to go higher in a few spots. So loose articles, like holiday decorations, could be impacted Sunday night.
