The results are in. Straphangers have given the 4 train a C on its report card.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority surveyed 4,000 riders in the Bronx, Manhattan and Brooklyn over a two-week period in September on all of the subway lines. Riders at the Yankee Stadium stop in the Bronx say the 4 train station is a little cleaner than other number 4 stations. However, they say it could be cleaner.

When asked which areas need improvement on the number 4, riders say keeping the trains less crowded. Another area that was cited as needing improvement was delays and wait times. Many riders feel adding more trains could help alleviate many of the problems.
