Students of a bankrupt New Windsor flight school say they have been left in a lurch, with no pilot?s license and no cash to show for the classes they won? t get to take.

Students at Silver State Helicopters, which operates out of Stewart International Airport, say they have invested nearly $70,000 to make their dreams of flying come true.

Ginger Panebianco, of Greenwood Lake, says she showed up for her class Monday and got the bad news. The company is filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Now, a group of four students is discussing a class-action lawsuit against the company.

Pacific Aviation in New Windsor was leasing the flight school classrooms and hangar space. The company says it?s not going to see any money from that either.
