A Monticello woman is facing multiple felony charges after she was allegedly found to be in possession of multiple firearms on Liberty High School grounds.
Village of Monticello police say Amanda Jones, 38, was a passenger in a vehicle they pulled over last Thursday when she was found with the firearms, one which was loaded.
They say an investigation determined that Jones had been on the school grounds prior to the traffic stop with all three handguns in the same motor vehicle.
She was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds.
Prosecutors recommended Jones be sent to Sullivan County Jail on $25,000 bail, but authorities say she was released by the judge, without bail, pending a future court appearance.
