A library program is helping make sure Mount Vernon children have access to nutritious meals during the summer months.
The Mount Vernon Public Library is offering free breakfast and lunch for local children.
The meals are available at the Jay Gary Pretlow Community Room.
Breakfast is served from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Lunch is available from noon to 1 p.m.
The program runs Monday through Friday and is designed to help families while school is out of session.
According to the library, the summer meal program will continue through Aug. 28.
