Summer camps are springing open at full speed as COVID-19 cases in New York continue to drop.
Donald Leenig, the manager and camp director of West Rock Sports and Entertainment in Nanuet, believes that parents are “adamant” about getting their kids out “instead of staying home”
The indoor sports facility offers weekly camps for kids ages 4 to 18. Aside from smaller camp sizes, he says weekly sessions are wide open for enrollment and booking up fast.
Christian Rosenstein, 10, says he is happy to be back on the fields with his friends.
"I haven't seen most of them because they're not in my class because of COVID so it's great reuniting with them," he told News 12.
