For tonight, expect cloudy conditions with lows near 41 degrees. Here’s what you need to know:
  • A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY is in effect through Friday. Up to 1 foot of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront, shorelines and low-lying communities. Minor to locally moderate coastal flooding is likely at high tide due to the influence of the full moon and onshore winds.
  • It’s another very cold morning with a few clouds this morning. Temperatures are in the mid to upper 30s. Wind chills are in the low 30s.
  • Today will be chilly again with increasing clouds and calmer winds. Highs are in the mid to upper 40s. Fire danger is lower today thanks to more clouds and lighter winds.
  • It stays dry and cool through the weekend. Fire danger will be higher on Friday and Saturday as winds pick up. Smoky/ hazy sky could return by Friday due to the shift in winds over the large wildfire still burning in New Jersey. Stay up to date on the fires and air quality issues in the coming days.
  • Rain chances remain low through early next week. A stray shower chance can't be ruled out on Monday morning/afternoon. Our next chance of rain is the end of next week. We're currently in a moderate drought with only 1.77 inches of rainfall so far for the Fall Season, with an additional 8-10 inches of rain needed to put us out of the drought. The latest drought monitor comes out today.
  • WATCHING THE TROPICS: The tropics is still brewing and hurricane season ends on November 30th. Tropical Depression 19 will become Tropical Storm Sara later this afternoon in the western Caribbean. It will impact Central America and the Yucatán Peninsula through this weekend. It will bring heavy rain, mudslides and high winds. As of now, there's uncertainty for where Tropical Storm Sara will go next. South/ central Florida is now an area of interest for tropical like conditions into next week. Stay tuned for updates.
Today: More clouds than sunshine, chilly with light winds. Highs near 49. Tonight: Still cold, cloudy and light winds. Lows near 41.
Friday: Morning clouds will give way to lots of sunshine, cool and windy. Highs near 56. Lows near 46.
Saturday: Sunny and cool. Highs near 61. Lows near 46.
