A new survey has some upsetting news for parents of special education students in the Bronx and the rest of the city.Investigators posed as parents and made 98 calls to special education staff members across the city as part of the public advocate's Waiting for Help survey. The survey found parents with concerns will only get the person they need to talk to 47 percent of the time. In 32 cases, callers were unable to even leave a message due to being hung up on or filled voice mail systems. As part of the survey, investigators also tried calling parent coordinators for 300 schools in the city. The survey claims 151 could not be reached.
